There are a few technical requirements that must be met by the merchant before they are able to use PrestaShop, including: Apache web server 1.3 or later, IIS 6 or later, PHP 5 or later, MySQL 5 or later, and a Linux, Unix, or Windows-installed operating system.
There are also some compatibility issues with the following version of PHP: 5.2.1, 5.2.6, 5.2.9, and anything less than 5.2.
PrestaShop vs. Magento
